I just finished my first project for the baby's room - recovering the cushions on our rocker-glider. Zach and Angela gave it to us a while back and it was fine even if it was a little worn. But the maroon upholstery didn't quite go with the tomato red we plan for the decor in the nursery. So I sewed covers for the cushions and even made a matching pillow! Yay for me. It's pretty obviously home-grown, but I don't care. I did it myself. Here's a photo:
We're in the midst of ice storm numero duo. Brrr. I was thinking of going to town today, but there's a sheet of ice out there. I'm not so worried about driving in it; that would probably be ok if I was really careful. But walking on it might be another story.
I might go sit in my rocker and read; I think the baby likes in utero storytime.
