We just booked it! Four days on Kauai Island, Hawaii! We're staying at a little hotel right on the beach with the mountains in the distance. Look how gorgeous...
We wanted to take a babymoon (the increasingly popular "honeymoon" before the baby comes) somewhere with a warm, sunny beach. I was thinking Florida, but Danny surprised me by suggesting Hawaii. Who am I to argue?
Especially since this pregnancy wasn't planned and happened faster than we expected, we thought it might be nice to make a special trip for the two of us before we begin the ultimate parenting adventure. He's been to Hawaii before and has been wanting to go back and see some of the other islands. From all that we read and heard, Kauai was a good choice for us because it's less commercialized, smaller, quieter and easier for a seven-months-pregnant woman to get around and see a few sights than some of the more popular islands.
We're really excited about it. Of course, now we have to buy a better camera so that the pictures I post here for y'all are as spectacular as possible! Pray for us and the baby to have safe travels all through the trip.
