Urged by countless long-distance friends who miss us dreadfully (okay, it was really just Mom and Dana but still), we have elected to start a family website so our loved ones who live absurdly far away can keep up with the goings-on in the Howard family.
Even though we have a ringo site for photos, this blog will allow us to write longer messages and updates and we can post photos here too - all in one convenient location for your viewing pleasure.
Of course, the main reason for this website is so family and friends can get pictures and news of the baby when he arrives. I assume anyone who reads this knows us well enough to know we're expecting our first child. If not, surprise!
The biggest news lately - our January ultrasound showed that we're having a little boy. We're keeping the name a secret so we can make a big important announcement when he's born. The other recent news is the weather - eek. Three inches of snow one day, sunny Indian summer the next and major ice storm the next. Crazy.
I'll try to keep up regular posts and pictures. The photos will have to come after Danny fixes my computer. (He's so handy.)

Our beautiful daughter Haven was born Sept. 9, 2010 and we are all just in love with her. We have a dog named Watson. We're sci-fi/fantasy fans.
