This was the first day he started doing this - he does it a lot now and I'm still not sure what it means. Is he in pain? Do his eyes bother him? Or is he just having fun squeezing his eyes shut?

Yeah! What IS with the squinting? Is he still doing it? It is so cute! He looks like he's doing it on purose, pausing to look at you, then continuing with the squint.
